NewYork Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center
Located on the campus of NewYork-Prebyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical Center on Manhattan's Upper East Side, NYP/Weill Cornell continues its rich tradition of excellence and innovation as an important program of Weill Cornell Psychiatry.
Using the latest advances in therapy and medication, patients receive expert evaluation and treatment across all levels of care including inpatient, outpatient, and partial hospitalization. A 32-bed inpatient unit provides acute care and symptom stabilization for adults 18 years of age and over.
For those not requiring an inpatient stay, partial hospital, continuing day treatment, and outpatient care is available for people with a wide range of diagnoses, including affective, anxiety, and psychiatric disorders.
Patients can access emergency evaluation and care 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, through Payne Whitney's Psychiatric Emergency Room, while its Central Evaluation Service offers diagnostic assessments. A new Comprehensive Psychiatric Emergency Program (CPEP) opened in Spring of 2015 offering a range of services – acute emergency treatment, extended observation care and crisis response services.
