Headed by nationally recognized expert, JoAnne Difede, Ph.D, the Program for Anxiety and Traumatic Stress Studies (PATSS), is a specialized program in Weill Cornell Medicine's Department of Psychiatry. The PATSS program has an innovative research portfolio and provides expert treatment for anxiety disorders, such as phobias and panic disorders, depression, and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). PATSS research studies have been designed specifically to treat individuals suffering from burn injuries, terrorist attacks, motor vehicle accidents, and interpersonal violence. We offer free clinical services and research studies for military service members and Veterans of Iraq and Afghanistan.
