Weill Cornell Medicine Psychiatry

Weill Cornell Psychiatry is deeply committed to creating an inclusive environment for residents from diverse backgrounds and experiences. We are partnering with NewYork-Presbyterian and Weill Cornell Medicine to expand opportunities and community-building initiatives for current residents and prospective applicants.

Acting Internship Elective Program

This program is a visiting student elective in the psychiatry clinical departments which provides fourth year URiM students from other medical schools with housing and a $1500 stipend to cover travel and living expenses during their month-long rotations. Participants work closely with the clinical team in the selected department and are paired with a faculty mentor, also meeting with the residency program director.More information can be found here.

Launching of the Weill Cornell Wellness Qlinic

This program is student-run initiative planning to launch a free clinic for LGBTQ+ individuals and create educational and research opportunities for students and residents in the Weill Cornell community in the field of LGBTQ mental health.
