The Haven At Westchester offers a discreet approach to the treatment of individuals needing inpatient psychiatric care and desiring a certain level of amenities. Patients 18 years of age or older are treated in a secure, premier setting offering private rooms with bath and concierge services to address individual needs. The program provides accessibility to the full spectrum of expert psychiatric subspecialties offered by NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital and its affiliates, Weill Medical College of Cornell University and the Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons.
- To provide rapid stabilization of acute symptoms
- To help the individual identify stressors that interfere with optimal functioning at home and in the workplace
- To create an effective, individualized aftercare plan
All patients receive a full diagnostic assessment with careful attention to medical, biological, psychological and social factors. This service will provide treatment for all major diagnostic categories, including affective, psychotic, dual diagnosis and personality disorders. Individualized treatment plans are developed by the multidisciplinary team, in consultation with the patient, family and referring clinicians. Treatment may include individual psychotherapy, marital/family therapy, psychopharmacology, patient and family education, and a variety of group psychotherapies.
Discharge planning is a critical part of the treatment program, and begins on the day of admission. Patients are transitioned to the appropriate level of care as clinical needs dictate.
Private pay, most major insurance plans and Medicare are accepted. The daily amenities fee is additional, and is the responsibility of the patient.
